“WELCOME TO BUNNYVILLE VILLIAGE”
CHAPTER 1-“THE BEGINNING”
Our story opens on a beautiful ,warm, sunny spring afternoon the children are skippin’ along on their way home from school not understanding their families have been feuding ever since Bunnyville Villiage was founded in the 1700’s by the 3 founding families: The Cottontails, The Irontails, and, The Dingles families. The Dingle family mostly kept to themselves not bothering to get involved in the feud between the Cottontails& the Irontails.
This feud has been going on throughout time since our families came to this town and, named it. Anyway the children were hopping along when they happened by the old Dingle place; old man Dingle(David Bryan) was sitting on the porch like always drinking his whiskey the kids having fun with him when my daddy walked up angrily looking at us “WHAT ARE YOU YOUNGINS DOING WITH THOSE IRONTAIL KIDS?! YOU GET BACK TO YOUR HUTCH THIS IMMEDIATELY!!NO DAUGHTERS OF MINE ARE GONNA BE SEEN WITH ANY IRONTAIL!! THIS INSTANT I SAY” I cried “But papa” “I SAID THIS INSTANT YOUNG LADY.BOYS YOU BEST STAY AWAY FROM MY CHILDREN GO ON HOME”.
I ran to our cottage as fast as I could go; the others scampered along he went home his brothers and, sisters were already home doing their chores “Well look who’s finally home”!!! Meanwhile back at our cottage I went straight to my room sobbing mama came in from her garden hearing my cries came straight to my room “What is it child? What’s wrong”? Mama had a beautiful garden she won prizes for her roses every year at the fair she didn’t what she would enter this year’s county fair. She was so proud of her garden we all were. My brothers & sisters scampered in getting cleaned up I sneered “Thanks guys for all your help” mama asked “Stop it! What’s going on”/
Just then papa stormed in “I’ll tell you what’s going on! Our children were consorting with Irontails”!!! She gasped “WHAT?! ARE YOU SURE?WHERE? OH CHILDREN YOU MUSTN’T EVER”. He answered gathering his pipe& tobacco “They were scampering along the riverbed on the way home from school I ran into them as I too was coming home. We finished early today and, decided to call it a day”. I cried “Papa I don’t understand why can’t we be friends with the Irontails’ kids; they’ve been friendly with us. We didn’t do anything wrong papa! We were just playing honest”!! “Come all of you gather round I’ll explain it to you”.
Vi Rose interrupted” Well sorry sis but, we weren’t gonna be punished because of that ole Irontail cuss anyway; he didn’t do anything for me”. “OH HUSH UP VI ROSE YOU’RE JUST MAD BECAUSE HE TOOK COTTON TO ME AND, NOT YOU” daddy roared “THAT’S ENOUGH FROM YOU 2 NOW BOTH OF YOU HUSH!! Now as I was saying ya’ll know our town was founded by 3 families; us, the Irontails, and, the Dingles now the Dingle family, they’re not part of the feud they mostly keep to themselves but, those Irontails , they just get my blood to boilin’ they think they’re so superior to everybody else because they come from money while the rest of us work for what we have”.
“Our families(all 3) founded this town together.” “Many years ago back in the 1700’s when our ancestors set foot on this land couldn’t decide what to call it of course Old Irontail hisself wanted to call Irontailville well that didn’t sit too well at all with the other 2 founders so they fought over it for days when old man Dingleberry Dingle spoke and, said “Why don’t we call it BUNNYVILLE VILLIAGE we all have names centered around rabbits ! Let’s simply go with that” they drew up a document to name the town; that document sits in the hall of records to this very day. Those Irontails ride ruff shot over everybody”.
I sounded “But, papa those kids we were playing with don’t”. He relented “That’s because they don’t know nothing”. Meanwhile in another part of Bunnyville Villiage they were being slammed by their own father Proteus Irontail(Richie Sambora) “WHAT WERE YA’LL DOING BUZZIN’ AROUND THEM COTTONTAIL GIRLS? DON’T YOU KNOW THAT FAMILY AINT NOTHING BUT, TROUBLE? YOU STAY AWAY FROM THEM YA HEAR? ALL OF YA STAY AWAY FROM THEM COTTONTAILS!! THAT FAMILY IS TROUBLE” he stormed into his den to read the paper while Mr. Dingle (David Bryan) was sitting on the porch just laughing to himself when his sons Robertson(Bret Michaels), Husky(Mark Wahlberg)& Valdez(“Stone Cold” Steve Austin) sat down on the stairs “What’s so funny pa” Valdez asked as they were sippin’ their lemonade “I’ll tell ya I was just thinking about how this here town was founded and, that Donovan Cottontail(John Schneider)how he ripped into his youngins something fierce because they were consortin’ with them Iorntail kids. Oh boys it’s been a blood feud between them since 2 families ever since the 1700’s when our families came to this town”.
Husky(Mark Wahlberg) sounded “Pa didn’t our family name the town? Why are they fighting”? “Yes son we did;the’re fighting because old man Irontail’s daughter Trinity(made up) started consorting with Cupid Cottontail(made up) she ended with child; there were complications with the birth they both died ever since then the Irontails & the Cottontails have been at war we don’t get mixed up in it!! Ya’ll hear? None of our family has ever taken sides nor will we ever. We keep to ourselves and, that’s how it will be forever”.
Okay guys that’s it 4 this piece installment #1 of 2 so far. I started thinking about this story on Saturday April 19,2014 at 9:44 a.m. but, didn’t start writing it till today(Sunday May 4,2014) at 10:07 a.m. happy reading all when you get the chance and, I post it LOL. OUR STORY:
Our story opens on a beautiful spring day in Wolf’s Head, Oaklahoma. It’s after school we had a game against our rival The Rydel Raiders(made up) the Raiderettes were talking trash to us we ignored a lot of it till one of them got in Trey’s(Regina) face about her boyfriend, she was irate and about to throw down w/her I stepped in “Yo sis!she aint worth it come on yo we got a game to win”!!!She turned back to our squad ”Let’s kick it ”she didn’t give them any credence and ,just concentrated on the game she was awestruck by her boyfriend, he was the star quarterback and the hottest guy in our school!!!Meanwhile in Sayreville, New Jersey Jon just left school to pick his younger brothers and ,baby sister from their school like he’d done since the beginning of the school year but, on this day upon approaching he caught sight of his baby sister rolling around on the ground and, their brothers were nowhere in sight.
He ran to her screaming ”PENNY STOP IT” he picked her up seperating the 2 girls he was irate “WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?!WHERE ARE TONY&MATTHEW?WHY AREN’T THEY WAITING WITH YOU”?!She struggles to get free of him whinning “I don’t know !Let me go! She started it LET ME GO”!!”No! Stop it young lady” he carried her off to find their brothers finally finding them ”WHY WEREN’T YOU 2 W/PENNY? When I got here I found her on the ground fighting” he gathered everybody, they got in the car and, drove home upon entering the boys ran to their rooms hurriedly doing their homework.
Penny tried to run but, Jon grabed a hold of her ”Eh! not so fast young lady mama” she came in from the garden ”Good heavens! what happened sweetheart? are you alright”?!He sneered “Go ahead baby sister! tell her what happened”as he let go of her ”Okay mommie I got into a fight w/ a girl just before Jon came to get us”. Back in Wolf’s Head, Oaklahoma however things were going our way the game is over and, we won. ”Hey sis I’ll meet ya at home later Sydni(made up)&I are going to the malt shop” she winked at me ,I laughed ”Okay Trey see ya later !Great game Sydni bye guys” then my boyfriend Hawk(Nick) came walking up ”Ya ready? Let’s go” he walked me home his arm around my neck Bret walked upon us “hey lil’ brother what’s the scene huh”?
He hated it when Bret did that I was checking him out Hawk caught me outta of the corner of his eye ”There’s no scene Bret! What’da want” ?He smiled at me “Nothing! Just came over to say hello “he left Hawk was heated to say the least!!!We reached our house we sat on the porch when my annoying little brother came outside making kissie face noises at us Hawk smiled I was annoyed ”What are you doing out here Nicholas(made up)?Mom” !He replied” She’s not here she went to the store grammie’s here though”. I yelled ”GET OUTTA OF HERE YOU BRAT! I’m sorry about him. He is a such a pest ”he kissed me” don’t worry it’s fine”. He came out smacking his lips at us I got pissed “THAT’S IT!I’VE HAD IT WITH YOU ”and began chasing him through the house ”You annoying brat” nana yelled ”You kids stop that” he ran outside behind Hawk ”Don’t hide behind him you brat c’mere so I can crown you ”just then my mother came home “Hello Hawk. What’s going on here”? Nicholas screamed ”HELP MOMMIE!POPPY’S TRYING TO KILL ME” Hawk laughed “Listen Poppy I gotta get going anyway I’ll call ya later! Bye Mrs.Pepperpot, Nicholas” and left our porch.
I squealed ”Mom, Nicholas is driving me! crazy he’s always bothering Hawk and me making kissie faces and, smacking noises! UGH! I’ve had it with him ”the phone rang ”Excuse me dear .hello? oh hi dear what’s up”? ”Hi Honey I’ll be alittle late for diner I have great news gotta go. See ya when I get home”. She hung up I was discusted I went to my room and did my homework. Meanwhile over at the Michaels house they were about to receive some shocking news themselves.
A few hours later Trey came home ”Hey dad’s not home yet? Mom what gives? Hey lil bro where’s Poppy”? I came down “Hey sis I’m right here move scrub yeah where is daddy”? Mom answered ”He’ll be late but, he has great news for us. Come children help me set the table ”so we did I couldn’t help imaging what daddy was going to tell us we could hardly wait for him to get home. Meanwhile over at the Michaels house Mr. Michaels had come in from work” Sit down everybody I need to talk to all of you. I need ya’ll to listen and, be quiet till I’m done please”?
Bret shook his head Hawk asked excitedly ”What’s going on pa ?Okay”.” Sit down boys .We’re moving I’ve been informed by my boss that’s he’s relocating the business to Malibu, California I’m leaving at the end of the week to find us a house out there I’ve put the house on the market. I know this is a shock and, will be a huge adjustment for you boys but, it’s all for the best”. They began having dinner Hawk erupted ”BUT,PA WE CAN’T!I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND HOW AM I GONNA TELL HER?WE JUST CAN’T ”Bret was beside himself w/laughter ”Ah shut Bret! It aint funny” “Now settle down son we’re leaving in August I’m sure she’ll understand finish your supper bow boys”. Bret was excited at the idea maybe he could get a band together and, get his career going Hawk however wasn’t so happy about it!!Meanwhile at the Bongiovi house Mr. Bongiovi came home and, while having dinner heard the distressing news ”Why Princess? what happened”?!Her head lowered ”Well daddy it happened like this she started it by saying the boys were ugly and, I’m a little baby. I had to defend our honor” he smiled “Now honey that is no reason to be fighting now you’re going to apologize to that girl tomorrow. Finish eating your dinner” she felt so bad she finished eating and went to her room and ,got ready for bed.
As she sat on the bed Matthew knocked on the door” Hey kiddo what’s wrong ?Awh it can’t be that bad” She cried ”Oh Matty! Am I gonna be punished? I don’t wanna apologize to her !It’s not fair she started it anyway it’s not fair”!!!

CHAPTER 1-“THE BEGINNING”
Back at our cottage Papa told us the story of Trinity Iron tail consorting with Cupid Cottontail and, how Trinity and, the baby died that’s how the feud got started between our families. “Hmmm… seems to me if those old Iron tails kept their kin in line better we wouldn’t have any half-breeds in this family sullyin’’ up our good name” Vi Rose piped I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. My sister Vi Rose was always so snooty “ WHY VI ROSE YOU’RE ACTIN’ JUST LIKE THEM SNOTTY IRONTAILS MAYBE YOU’RE ONE OF THEM” I snarled “WHY YOU LITTLE!!!HOW DARE YOU YALK TO ME LIKE THAT” she smacked back “That’s enough go to your room both of ya NOW!!! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ANOTHER WORD OUTTA OF EITHER OD YA”!!!
Papa was angry and, discusted he went to his den till supper. Mama went into the den to talk to papa or at least try to anyway “Now Donovan the kids was just playin’ around and, skippin’ along did ya have to be so ruff on em’”? “Alright Silver mist(made up) I know them kids is innocent in all of this but, they gots to learn them Irontails is no good not one of them”!!!! She gave him a look “Alright I’ll go talk to the girls when’s supper? I’m hungry”? “When ya finish talkin’ to the girls send them down to help me” they smiled & kissed then he came upstairs just as he reached the top of the stairs the boys were listening to the ruckus papa burst in the room “WHAT’S GOIN’ ON HERE? WHY IS THIS ROOM DIVIDED”? Vi Rose explained “Papa we were fightin’ about the Iron tails’ boys I was telling her I don’t see what she sees in them and, that it would in her best interest to stay away from them”!!!
“Thumper is what Vi Rose says true? After I told ya’ll to stay away you intend fraternizin’ with them boys? You tell me right now! Do you intend to defy me”? He started taking off his belt; the boys got scared ran to their room shuttin’ the door Vi Rose started for the door “ Don’t you think about it missy. I’m waitin’ I want an answer right now” I was scared to move or speak. He yelled “ANSWER ME GIRL! DO YOU INTEND TO DEFY ME”?! I cried “NO PAPA OF COURSE NOT” I was angry at my sister I didn’t speak to her for the rest of the night “Both of you get down to the kitchen help your mama with them viddles”.
We hurried down to the kitchen to help mama finally it was time to eat we sat down said grace then ate supper this night was eaten in silence afterwards it was the boys turn to wash the dishes papa& mama went into his den he read the paper she did some knitting I didn’t feel like being inside so I went out on the back porch looking up at the night sky. It was a beautiful starry night Uncle Carden (Chip Mayer) was putting my little cousin Chilly Bean (Audrianna) to bed singing to her they lived right next door to us I started to remember when I was her age papa singing to me to sleep like th Falcon Cottontail (Colton Dixon) came over “Hey cuz what’s ya doin’ “? “Oh hey cuz nothing just enjoying the crisp night air you”?” at though I wasn’t that much older then her.
Oh ah I was getting some ice cream ya wanna come”? “Yeah let me ask my pa” I ran inside “Papa, cousin Falcon is going for ice cream may I go? Please? We’ll be right back promise”. Him& mama looked at each other “Okay go ahead”. I grabbed a light jacket off we went to the ice cream shop on the way we met up with Carducci Summerland(made up)”Hey there neighbors where ya’ll l scootin’ off to”? Well Falcon never took kindly to Carducci Summerland he sounded “None of your business Summerland come along cousin” grabbing my hand pulling me “OW!!Let go you’re hurting me. He meant no harm” he kept back a ways but, kept us in sight following us he knew how to get my cousin he had a crush on me; he was alittle bit older then me “What’s wrong with being friendly with Carducci Summerland anyway”? I asked he snarled at me almost breathing fire it scared me “EVERYTHING IS WRONG THAT GUY IS A SNAKE!!! HE’S BAD NEWS STAY AWAY FROM HIM”.
We went inside I ordered a peanut butter fudge sundae he ordered a vanilla swirl sundae I was shaking he was concerned “What’s the matter? You cold? Where’s your jacket”? “No! Not cold it’s around my waist you scared me it was like you were breathing fire”. He hugged me “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you, it’s just that guy really bugs me sometimes”. “yeah I could see that. He’s always been real nice to me”. We finished our ice cream I put my jacket on as it got alittle chilly the sun had set and, began going down the sky light up in pink& purple the moon started to rise and, darkness slowly descended on the valley.
It was a beautiful night not very many stars this night. We walked along Mulberry Lane it was alittle eerie I heard a noise “What was that”? I shrieked it freaked me out “Relax cousin it was just an owl hooting up there in the tree”. I looked up it was beautiful it was a snow owl like in the “Harry Potter” movies. Finally we reached home went inside papa was waiting by the door “Hello papa” “Hello uncle”. “Hello children have a nice time did you? Glad you’re home safe” “Thank you night all I should go” he left I went to my room quite an exhausting day it was a lot to think about.
Falcon walked in going straight upto his room, changing then climbing into bed it was a beautiful night in the valley most of the valley was down to slumber it was quiet and, peaceful throughout the valley it was calm before a wild storm that was waiting to strike; it would strike very soon. Carducci was quite pleased with himself having gotten under my cousin’s skin he to settled in for a good night’s slumber. It was quite late mama turned in already papa popped in checking on me.
I began tossing& turning, punching the air in my sleep all at once I jerked up “OH PAPA!WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE”? “Darling I came to check on you before I went to bed and, it’s a good thing I did because you were having quite a dream sweetheart what were you dreaming about”? “I don’t rightly know. I’m guessing I was fightin’ someone but, I don’t know I guess I was thinking about what you told us about our families mixing. Are there any other Irontail-Cottontails around papa”?
He held me in his arms real tight “Unfortunately yes there is one other. They live on the other side of town neither family really talks to them. Carrie Cottontail got herself mixed up with that no account Billy-Bob Irontail and, had a son Kragger Irontail-Cottontail. You stay away from them ya hear”!! “But why papa? I don’t understand. They’re family aint they”? “LISTEN HERE YOUNG CUB CARRIE& THAT NO GOOD IRONTAIL AINT FAMILY TO EITHER SIDE NEITHER IS THEIR OFF-SPRING. YOU’RE TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM YA HEAR THAT’S ALL.

Hey guys,
Here's the third installment of "Welcome to Bunnyville Villiage" to snack on.“WELCOME TO BUNNYVILLE VILLIAGE”
CHAPTER 1-“THE BEGINNING”
He kissed me on the head then tucked me back in before leaving my room. I just didn’t understand why we couldn’t talk to them I was so tuckered out I just went on back to sleep meanwhile in my folks’ room “Well I declare Donovan what was all that ruckus about”? “Oh sorry Silvermist , darlin’ I was talking to Thumper about Carrie and, her family ; she asked if there were any other half-breeds so I had to explain it go to sleep” so all of Bunnyville Village was fast asleep for the night for now all was calm and, peaceful in the valley.
Some time passed it was a lazy Saturday I was out walking in a strawberry grove when a stranger met my eyes it was very warm I started to run “Wait who are you? Please don’t go? I won’t hurt you I promise” I just stood there slowly turning around now we were standing face to face “Hi, I’m Thumper Cottontail and, you are”?He shook my hand “Nice to meet you; I’m Kragger Iron-Cottontail” I pulled my hand away “What?! I’m not supposed to be anywhere near you. My pa warned me to stay away from you” just then then my cousin Kipper (Tico Torres) happened by grabbing me “Irontail-Cottontail “STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS FAMILY” he threw me over his shoulder carrying me back towards home Kragger feeling like crap turned away running back across the bridge never looking back tears streaming down his cheek he just couldn’t understand why the Cottontails wanted nothing to do with him especially when he didn’t know either of the families existed; he was extremely confused.
We got to the house papa heard the commotion “What is the meaning of this”? “Uncle Dono I saw Thumper talking with that half-breed down in the strawberry grove” “Is this true? Explain yourself this instant young lady”. I was scared “Yes papa it’s true but, I didn’t know who he was at first when I found out I was about to leave when Kipper showed up I swear papa”!!! “Thank you Kipper . Go to your room Thumper NOW!! I’ll decide your punishment” I glared at Kipper because I felt I did nothing wrong I then ran to my room in tears Kipper left mama & papa were in his den; he sat in his chair she in her’s knitting she spoke softly “Really Donovan? Do we really need to punish her? She never met any of the Iron-Cotttails there wasn’t any real harm done. I think the whole of both families; yes even the half-breed should have a meeting at the town hall and, put an end to this feud once and, for all”!!!
He sat back in his easy chair taking in all she had to say and, sat in silence for quite a spell she wondered what his response would be. Meanwhile I in my room and, Kragger at home over the bridge were just miserable!!!”Alright mother I hear what you’re saying. Okay no she doesn’t deserve to be punished this time. I’ll go talk to her” she kissed him then went to the kitchen to bake some cupcakes while he came upstairs to talk with me. He knocked on the door “Cub. It’s papa can I come in”? I dried my face “Sure papa come in”.
I stood by my window not knowing what to expect he grabbed the chair at my desk making a motion for me to come over to him slowly I approached I sat on his lap “Now Cub your mother & I talked this out; you didn’t do anything wrong I acted in hast for that I apologize, go on out and, play”. I didn’t know what to do I hugged him then ran the stairs and, out into the back yard romping through the leaves and, grass.
After awhile I decided to go for a walk in town I then went to the ice cream shoppe it smelled of burgers and, coffee I sat at the counter; most of the tables and, booths were filled I was by myself anyway I ordered a sundae I was still very miffed at Kipper I sat there alone for quite a spell. After I was quite annoyed with conversation I left I went to the park the air was fragrant with wild flowers I got on the swings and, began to swing then all of the sudden they appeared at first I did my best to ignore them then began to surround me Jendayia (K Bear) and, her friends “What are you doing here all by yourself Cottontail? You looking for trouble”?
“No! I aint ! I was just on my way home! I aint did nothing to you.Leave me alone” they started to push me I was scared but, I sure didn’t let them see that; I fell to the ground they began kicking me, punching me in the back and, face then all of the sudden this thundering voice sounded “HEY” they looked up and, took off leaving jendayia by herself “Bunch of scarrdycats! Go on then I don’t need ya!!! Who are you” She backed away as the girl helped me to my feet “You alright Thumper? You, you’re an Irontail ? Yeah I heard of you”.
I dusted myself off then looked her in the eye “Oh hey Bunny yeah I’m fine. What are you doing here”? “Bunny huh? You got a last name”? Jendayia scoffed she answered “Yeah it’s Cottontail”. She sneered “I know all the Cottontails I aint never heard of you”. I barked’ SHE’S MY HALF-SISTER my father had a relationship before he met mother. WAIT A MINUTE I DON’T OWE YOU AN EXPLANATION” we walked away went home “Bunny what are you doing here”? I was on my way to the house to see dad when I saw you. Are you sure you’re okay? C’mon let’s get you home and, cleaned up”.
We got home mama was at the store she never found out. After awhile of catching up mama& papa came in “Bunny, dear what are you doing here”? They hugged “Hello dad, step mom I was wondering if I could stay here for awhile”?!”Fighting with your mother again? What about this time”? Papa scoffed mama answered” Of course you can dear as long as you like”. When papa and, mama started courtin’ papa informed her of Bunny’s existence because he didn’t want no secrets though he loved Bunny’s mother once he just wasn’t ready to get married t the time.
Mama always appreciated papa’s openness about his past. Bunny answered gleefully “Thank you step mom oh dad she can’t see that I’m grown enough to make my own decisions yes she knows I’m here she’s hoping you’ll talk some sense into me. I need to freshen up please excuse me”?! Meanwhile Jendayia toggled off home once there she called just over a whisper no answer she thought to herself “Good” running to her room then making abubble bath for herself hurried washing her clothes thinking no one had to know of the fight she’d been involved in.
In another part of the villiage Kragger opened up about his feelings his parents then told him the story he was shocked and, horrified still not fully understanding how they could be treated that way; he was determined to change things one day. Over at the Dingle place the boys were working hard in the fields getting ready for the spring harvest it was bountiful this year anyway mama tended to her gardens she still had no idea what from them she would take to the fair this year.
Mama and, Bunny’s mother never were friends but, she always was cordial & civil to one another for Bunny’s and, papa’s sake. Bunny’s mother felt if hadn’t been for mama he probably would’ve married her someday it was in her mind although she didn’t fight for papa’s affections she never did marry though she did have suitors calling on her none could tame her heart though. All of us kids in both families couldn’t understand why we were feudin’ except Jendayia, she always had a hatred for us Cottontails I guess it goes back to her great-grand daddy Bandai Irontail papa spoke of him all the time; he was ruthless , often feared by those who knew him and, had the misfortune of crossing his path.
Time passed Bunny and, her mother eventually patched things up her mother decided to sell her house and, move closer to us because Bunny decided to get her own little cottage near by because she wanted to be closer to papa; she didn’t care much for Jendayia or her friends. Bunny helped mama decide what from both gardens to enter in the county fair competitions mama & Bunny grew closer as time went on. School was now out for the summer Chilly bean (Audrianna) went to summer camp at Camp Thunder I didn’t want to go but, mama & papa insisted. There was horse back riding ,archery, crafts, fishing, all kinds of games and, activities even dances it was fun though I began to get home sick. Then one hot June day the music group started there I was bored to tears when I saw this boy I’d never laid eyes on before he started to sing immediately took my breath away; I was awh struck by him.

WELCOME TO BUNNYVILLE VILLAGE
CHAPTER 1-“THE BEGINNING”
& CHAPTER 2-“MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT COMING”
Before I knew it group was over and, it was time to head to the mess hall for lunch he approached I was frozen everyone else had stampeded to mess hall “Hello there may I escort you”? He asked barely above a whisper holding his arm out “Huh”? oh sure of course” I said taking his arm Chilly Bean saved us some room “Why thank you young one what is your name please”?!
She laughed “You talk funny!! My name is Chilly Bean Cottontail sir”. Chilly! I’m sorry about her; she’s just 5 years old hasn’t learned her manners just yet”. “Oh that’s quite alright. Charmed miss. Chilly Bean and, you are please”? “Where are my manners? I’m Thumper Cottontail nice to meet you”. “What interesting names you both have charmed I’m Bentley Johnson at your service” there we were the 3 of us having lunch I enjoyed his company very much while Chilly snickered and, crunched on food he smiled I was quite annoyed after lunch was over I hurried to my cabin quite embarrassed by Chilly, Bentley looked around for me while everyone else went to afternoon activities Chilly found some friends and, went swimming with I just stayed in the cabin for the remainder of the afternoon I wrote in my journal. “OH journal,
I met the most incredible good looking guy today but, Chilly’s behavior at lunch! OHH well he probably thinks we’re a couple backwoods country bumpkins. I really like him”. I put my pen and, book away and, sobbed into my pillow ended up falling asleep till supper Chilly woke me up we went to mess hall.
“What’s eatin’ you cousin? Why aren’t you eating? I don’t see Bentley anywhere”. “YOU, YOU’RE BEHAVIOR AT LUNCH WAS HORRIBLE HE’S PROBABLY IN HIS CABIN LAUGHING AT US. YOU MADE US LOOK LIKE A COUPLE OF BACKWOODS HILLBILLIES! I’M NOT HUNGRY I CAN’T WAIT FOR CAMP TO BE OVER SO WE CAN GO HOME”.
Meanwhile in another part of the camp Bentley wasn’t laughing at us at all he was meeting with the camp counselors “he had a family emergency he had to leave”. He informed them he also let them know he left a letter in my cabin to make sure I got it. He left immediately his uncle picked him up in an old pickup truck he was broken hearted hoping I would understand. In the letter he put down his address and, phone number asking that I write to him and, call if I could.
I was so upset I didn’t notice the letter on the dresser beside the bed after supper when she finished gorging herself she came back to our cabin changed into her pajamas then sat on the porch it was a beautiful moonlit night the air crisply scented with wild flowers it was a starry night she made a wish on a shooting star then to the commissary to get a popsicle ; she had quite an appetite for a kid I however had no appetite I just wanted to go home and, forget it ever happened. A few days later I noticed Bentley was gone I was saddened I thought to myself “JERK DIDN’T HAVE THE DECENCY TO SAY GOODBYE OR NOTHING GOOD WRIDDINS” I yelled on the way to breakfast “GOOD WRIDDINS YOU CREEP!! COULDN’T EVEN SAY GOODBYE”.
One of the counselors pulled me aside “Thumper! What’s the matter”? “Nothing except Bentley Johnson made a fool out of me that’s all. He got me to like him then he disappeared”! “Thumper Cottontail he had a family emergency his uncle came and, picked him up. He wrote you a letter and, left it on the dresser in your cabin for you; it’s obvious you didn’t notice it”. “Oh! I had no idea please excuse me”?! I ran back to my cabin feellin’ lower then a snake’s belly!! I found the letter began reading it sobbing so heavy I could barely see mean while back home Carducci Summerland was getting under Falcon’s skin “What’s say Cottontail? How’s that cousin of your’s ; Thumper! Where is she aint seen her around lately”.
He snapped “WHAT’S IT TO YA SUMMERLAND? YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HER YA HEAR”?! He turned and, walked away. Meanwhile over in England the Johnson family made a shocking announcement to Bentley upon his return home the family had a meeting and, decided to move to America they had relatives living here once the emergency passed they would put their farm up for sale. The arrangements were made all that was needed to hear how he felt about things he was in utter shock he couldn’t speak he just went to his room; his mother went about cooking supper concerned of his reaction thinking maybe it was huge mistake.
While he sat in his room he penned a letter to me unbeknownst to me but, he explained in the letter he asked for my home address from the camp counselors he wrote and, told me , he was moving to America he was hoping I would be responding before he moved to America. Back at camp I was in my cabin reading his letter sobbing then balled it up and, threw it across the room grabbing my bags and, packing we still had 2 weeks of camp left. Hours passed I went to dinner afterwards there was a square dance I didn’t fell up to being around anyone I felt stupid for what I said to Bentley back home Bunny ran into Kragger they talked ; she decided she would send notices to both families demanding they come to town hall for a meeting.
After a few minutes I grabbed the letter un balling it and, reread it immediately penning a letter back to him the mailing it to him when I left camp hoping it would reach him. Back home papa got the mail wondering who Bentley Johnson was mama told him to put the letter in my room for me. Meanwhile time passed at camp it was 2 days left of camp and, during music group I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up; I didn’t know if there was a relationship for Bentley & me but, I was sure what my future held for me. All 2 soon camp was over we left several hours later we were home mama emptied my suitcase into the laundry basket “Get washed up supper’ll be ready soon” I ran to my room flopped on my bed so exhausted from camp not noticing the letter from Bentley.
A couple of days later I was in a fog I decided to rearrange my room; tearing it up moving the night stand table the letter falls but, I’m concentrating on moving furniture so I moved the letter to my desk while I changed my room around. A short time later as I finished I dropped to my knees just sitting on the floor hanging my head papa came in from working in the yard “Thumper, you alright? You changed you room around. Something wrong? Supper will be ready soon get washed “. I gathered my stuff took a quick shower then got down to the dinning room setting the table.
Mama, papa I’m gonna go for a walk after supper I need to clear my head”. “Anything you wanna talk about”? Papa asked “Now? Honey you just got home you should rest “ mama replied I snarled “I’M NOT TIRED!!! NO PAPA I just need some time alone that’s all” everyone came in for supper we sat down and, ate in silence leaving mama & papa perplexed my siblings were busy stuffing their faces I picked along. “May I be excused? I’m not very hungry”. “Go ahead put your plate in the microwave in case you feel like eating later”.
I got up from the table then left the house my sister Vi Rose came after me “Thumper! Wait up! What gives? Ever since you got home from summer camp you’ve been quiet, distant and, now this! What’s going on what gives”?! “BACK OFF VI I WANTED TO BE ALONE” I stormed off she stood there in shock then went back onto the house she then cleared the table muttering to herself; she was angry she wanted to know what the heck was going with me. Meanwhile in another part of Bunnyville my sister was coming home from work when she saw me walking. I was almost hit by an on coming car she pushed me out of the way we both fell to the ground “Sis are you alright”? I was unconscious she scooped me up jumped in her car racing to the hospital.
She parked at the emergency entrance with the hazards on ran inside screaming her head off “MY SISTER’S HURT!!! PLEASE”? An orderly brought a gurney, they wheeled me into a cubicle she ran and, parked her car in the parking lot right across the way from the emergency entrance and, sat in the waiting room. They sent me up to x-ray for x-rays then back down to the cubicle I started coming around “UGH! What happened? where am I? where is my sister Bunny”?! “I’m Dr. Collins you’re in a hospital; nurse please get the young lady’s sister”? I started to get up but, couldn’t “Relax young lady can you tell me your name”?! “Yes, OW! It’s Thumper Cottontail how’d I get here”? Bunny came in “What’s going on? Thumper”?
Dr. Collins answered “We’re waiting for the x-rays then we’ll know what we’re dealing with”. She grabbed my hand “Excuse me” the doctor looked at the x-rays “Okay here we go. That’s good news now let’s examine you. Thumper; you don’t have any internal injuries that’s the good news. Now let’s examine you. Bunny would you please leave the room”? I was freaking out “NO! NO! NO! PLEASE? I NEED HER! PLEASE LET HER STAY PLEASE”?! “Alright ! young lady she can stay; I wasn’t seriously hurt; I had a mild concussion. Okay I’ll get your discharge papers and, you can go home just take it easy for a few days” then he left the room. She helped me “I’ll call dad from my house are you okay? Can I get you anything”?
“OW! My head hurts an aspirin”. “Nurse can my sister have an aspirin”? “Here ya go honey, here’s your discharge papers. You can leave now take it easy young lady bye now”.
SO ON THIS HEAR NOTE CHAPTER 1 FADES OUT&CHAPTER 2-“ MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT COMING” FADES IN:
We left the hospital it was dark out beautifully lit night sky the moon shone so bright it almost looked transparent it was calm, warm starry night we got in the car she slowly drove home it was deafening silence.
Once we got inside the house she made some hot chocolate for me she told me once her mother always made hot chocolate when she was down she wrapped a light blanket around me then went into the kitchen closing the door then calling my house; my mother answered she began to tell her what happened mama dropped the phone sobbing papa was nearby he picked it up “Bunny what’s going on”? She proceeded to tell him then she informed him she was keeping me at her house this night and, that she would call first thing in the morning. She was trying to be a big sister to me; she hadn’t been in my life for much of my life.
She made up her guest room for me, she gave me some pajamas to change into “Thanks Bunny night”. “You’re welcome kid if you’re up to it we can talk in the morning?. “Sure I’d like that” the bedrooms were right next to each other so she’d be able to hear me during the night she was very concerned she didn’t understand what I was doing there she thought to herself “It was like she was in some kind of trance. What is a goin’ on with my baby sister”? She turned her light out and, went on to sleep all of Bunnyville Village was down for a peaceful slumber this night oh but, trouble was abrewing and, chaos was soon to be afoot in the village.
Next morning it was a bright beautiful warm Saturday Bunny checked on me saw that I was still sleeping quietly closing the door sos not to awaken me she decided to go and, sit on the deck in the back yard having a nice mug of Vanilla cappachino she didn’t like coffee. There was a light breeze the air filled with the scent of laundry detergent and, wild flowers the birds were chirping in the trees making a delightful sound she sat there closed here eyes just listening to the birds singing in the trees above her.
Meanwhile in another part of the village Kragger was putting his plan in to motion to unite the 2 families hopefully and, finally bring some harmony to the town well hoping to anyway.

Here's the 5 th. installment of the story for ya to snack on.“WELCOME TO BUNNYVILLE VILLAGE”
CHAPTER 1-“THE BEGINNING”
&
CHAPTER 2-“MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT COMING”
About an hour later I woke it was now about 10:30 a.m. “Bunny? Oh here you are. What are you doing out here”? “Just takin’ in the morning air” the trees rustling from the light breeze, birds chirping there Bunny was sitting on the deck in her summer pajamas all wrinkled her hair disheveled slurping her first cup of coffee I sat in the other chair sniffing the air. Bunnyville Villiage was just bussling with activity folks all over the villiage were taking care of their business.
In fact the Dingle family were in town at the general store doing some shopping, mama & papa were also there when Davion Irontail walked in with his father Proteus “Well top of the morning to ya Mrs. Cottontail, Cottontail” mama was silent for a minute “Mornin’ Mr. Irontail” papa sneered “Mornin’ Irontail what are you doin’ here”? He smirked “Just as you Cottontail picking some things. Say there’s been some rumblins about town of a meeting between our 2 families”.
Just then Husky &Valdez Dingle gasped “Oh no pa”!! “Boys calm down we aint involved in this. Just relax” Papa turned back to Mr. Irontail “Yea I heard the rumblins; so what about it? I didn’t call for no such meeting”. “Fine that’s all I wanted to know good day to ya Ms. Cottontail” then they left the store and, road out of town back to their house. Papa began pondering what was happening all this buzz around town he knew something was up and, he aimed to find out what!!!
Meanwhile back at Bunny’s cottage we were sitting on the deck just sniffing the beautiful morning air then out of nowhere I lept up running in the kitchen feeling quizzy I threw up in the sink immediately cleaning it out then ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth and, took a shower leaving her to wonder what was going on. She fixed her robe rubbed the morning crust from her eyes all at once shrugging off the sleepiness . She proceeded to the kitchen pouring herself another cup of coffee then made breakfast for us.
The doorbell rang she answered it w/out a word she invited her mother in they went into the kitchen I came in “OH ! excuse me sis I didn’t know your mom was here; excuse me” I started to leave when she; her mother sang “No dear please stay? Bunny what have you girls planned for today”? “Well mother I was planning a sister day for us why? You haven’t told me what brings you here. I don’t know where dad is”.
She replied curtley “I didn’t ask about your father I came here because I was hoping to spend the day with you girls ; take you shopping and, to the spa”. OH!WOW I’ve never been to a spa before! BUNNY”? Bunny shrugged her shoulders shaking her head; she really just wanted it to be just us 2 but ,she lamented “Alright mother . Sit down Thumper breakfast is ready”. There we were all 3 of us having breakfast together though Bunny was suspicious of her mother’s motives for this day she would confront her later.
After breakfast Bunny showered and, changed things were alittle awkward for me being alone with Bunny’s mother she began to break the silence in the room clearing her throat “Hmmm…. Excuse me dear how is your mother dear? Your father still the charmer “? I studdered floundering to answer “Ummmmm….. my mother, she’s fine thank you . My father? A charmer? UH! I guess so” thinking “Oh I wish Bunny would hurry up and, save me” just then she uttered “Alright mother let’s get going” so we left; we got in her car and, roared off to the mall in nearby Asbury Park.
“So Thumper dear when are you going to start driving”? I about choked Bunny sounded “ MOTHER!SHE’S ONLY LIKE 10 YEARS OLD” she was angry she replied “Darling I was kidding. Thumper when Bunny was your age your father taught her how to drive a car, truck, and, an atv and, a motorcycle of course that was before your mother came into our lives” I didn’t know what to do I was frozen in the back seat wishing I’d gone home instead of Bunny’s house I was totally spazzing out finally we pulled into the parking lot the mall was huge I was awhstruck “Thumper, you go on ahead I need ah a minute with my mother”.
They stood by the car as I ran to the entrance and, went inside looking around with wide- eyed wonder I’d never been to the mall before it was quite exciting my heart pounding away so hard pounding in my ears I thought heart was going to burst. Meanwhile back at the car Bunny was extremely agitated she was quite curt with her mother “Alright mother! What did you think you were doing? You made Thumper very uncomfortable talking about dad & her mother! What are you upto? OMG! YOU’RE TRYING TO BREAK THEM UP AREN’T YOU? YOU WANT DAD BACK AND, ALL TO YOURSELF DON’T YOU? DON’T DENY IT MOTHER! OMG! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS”!!!!
“Alright dear! Yes I do want your father back; I never got over him, there I admitted it” I was walking around inside when they came in “Thumper” she called and, found me “Sorry sis! Are you alright? Let’s go” we walked all over the mall I Bunny’s arm we went into this music store pulling her over to the guitars “What is it Thumper? What? OH” a salesperson came over “Hello, may I be of some assistance”? “Ah yes hello there. Yes my little sister seems to be interested in this pink guitar”?
The gentleman picked it up handing it to me; I began strumming it “Well young lady that’s some talent” my sister replied “Enough Thumper! We’ll take it. She learned at summer camp” Bunny’s mother remained silent for the rest of the time at the mall. After an exhausting morning we went to the food court for lunch I couldn’t make up my mind I started backing up so I could see better when who should I back into? I turned around struck speechless “Excuse me miss. Oh Thumper is it really you? Did you receive my letter? Sorry I haven’t been in contact since my last letter. Are you alright darling”?
I couldn’t speak I was angry &elated at the same time Bunny spoke “Hi! I’m Bunny Thumper’s older sister you are”? “Nice to meet you Bunny I’m Bentley Johnson I met Thumper at summer camp. I’m originally from England my parents & I just moved here recently”. “Please join us while she makes up her mind” a short time later I found my voice again “Yes I’m just fine. Yes I did receive them WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE IN THE MALL? You moved here to Bunnyville, New Jersey”?!
“Uh shopping for the house actually we live in Sayerville we’re getting settled in. How is your cousin Chilly Bean isn’t it? She’s quite charming”. I flipped “SHE’S FINE MAYBE YOU’D RATHER BE WITH HER”. Everyone was outraged at my reaction “Bentley darling time to go” “Coming grammie” he got up from the table utterly shocked left without a word we finished lunch continued to shop then left the mall in silence.
Bunny put the bags in the trunk while her mother and, I piled in the car I wasn’t a particularly chatty mood. The whole ride home was silent we parked, got out walked in the house I went to the bedroom gathering my things together Bunny’s mother was sitting at the table sipping her chamomile tea “Thumper you can stay if you want. Do you want me to go with you”? “Uh no I’m fine nice meeting you”.
“Alright I’ll come over later and, check on you” she walked me out “I- I’m sorry about my mother” she hugged me then watched as I walked off. She was angry at her mother feeling bad that I was so uncomfortable due to her mother she stormed back in yelling “MOTHER YOU MADE HER FEEL SO UNCOMFORTABLE SHE DIDN’T WANT TO STAY”. “I’m sorry she didn’t want to stay but, I can’t hide or deny my feelings for your father” Bunny was discusted she walked out in a huff; her mother was hurt so she came over to my house mama answered the door “Rebecca nice to see you again”. “Hello Silvermist may I come in and, talk with you &Donovan”?
“Donovan”?! she shrieked he came running from the den “What’s going on out here? Rebecca? Oh how are you? What brings you here”? Mama gave papa a scorned look sternly answering ”Come in if you must” they went into the living room sat down “I met your daughter; Thumper; she’s a lovely girl. I’m sorry I made her uncomfortable. Donovan I asked her how you were doing. I confessed to Bunny now I should be honest with the 2 of you; Donovan! I still love you I never got married because I never got over you. YES DAMN IT I WANT YOU BACK! I want to be up front about it, it wouldn’t be fair to any of us if I hid my feelings for you”.
Mama was upset she ran from the room grabbed her keys jumped in her car and, roared off; papa was dismayed “Uh well…. Rebecca I don’t quite know what to say here. Um thank you for your cander uh…. I did love you once but, I love Silvermist and, I’m totally committed to her. I’m sorry I know it’s not what you want to hear it’s honestly how I feel excuse me, I need to find my wife” he left the house in search she left our house shortly there after.
I grabbed some money I had in my piggy bank and, went to the store for some note books to write lyrics in for songs afterwards upon returning home I was overcome with sadness I ran to my room heavily sobbing.

Our story opens in a cute little country town called Crowley Meadows in Tennessee it’s a warm spring afternoon in late May. The school year is almost out we see a pair of twins frolicking in the grass as they skip along on their way home from school. They had 2 older brothers and, a younger sister.
The twins were skipping along stopping every so often to smell the flowers blooming in the spring air when 1 of the brothers bellowed “Well c’mon you 2 come on? Stop dawdling so we have to get home to do our chore; c’mon c’mon with ya now”.
The girls just laughed inspite of themselves finally they reached the farm father was out plowing the south 40 getting it ready for planting the boys put their books in their room then went out and, began cutting down firewood.
We girls helped mother in the kitchen we made an apple pie for dessert; mother made homemade applesauce for supper. Babs set the table while Kayla washed the dishes, I picked some flowers in mother’s garden to dress up the table.
Nara was in her room doing her homework afterwards she had to clean up her room it wasn’t much she could do. She wasn’t old enough to do the kind of chores that we did. Daniel was 19 years old, Boregarde was 22 years old, Babs & me were twins we were 17 years old, Kayla; our cousin she was 18 years old, our sister Nara was 12 years old.
Our neighbors the Valentine family had 2 sons; they were Giovanni & Dalton Valentine. Dalton was 22 years old and, Giovanni was 19 years old, I was attracted to Giovanni but, he had his eyes on my sister Babs. I didn’t know it at first. School was wrapping up for the year very soon.
The last week of May we were having a dance I was hoping he would ask me!! Babs helped mother finish cooking supper, father and, the boys came in getting washed up for supper. We all sat down mother dished up the plates we began eating in silence at least for awhile.
Father didn’t allow phone calls during meals and, before 9:00 a.m. on the weekends. All of the sudden mother was serving up the pie when the phone rang Babs jumped up answering “Hello” the voice responded “Hello is Babs home please? Giovanni calling”?
She smiled “Hi Giovanni this is she but, I cannot talk right now. Can I call you back”? She then hung up “Sorry father” he was visibly upset I snarled Why Gio calling you? Why didn’t he ask to speak to me? What’s going on here”? She shrugged her shoulders “I don’t know. Did you like him? I’m sorry Brie I didn’t know”. “ENOUGH! No more discussion finish your dessert then all of you do your homework”!!! Silence abounds I was miffed at my sister he was mine she stole him away from me.

Hey guys,
Here's installment #2 hope you like. More to come soon. “COUNTRY GIRLS GO TO COLLEGE”
CHAPTER 1 –“WHERE IT ALL BEGAN”
After we cleared the table and, washed the dishes we all went to our rooms and, did our homework; Nara got ready for bed it was now 9:00 p.m. time for her to go to bed; our brothers were allowed to stay up till 11:00 p.m. Babs& I bed time was 10:00 p.m. she went and, called Giovanni back to find out the purpose of his earlier call.
Father gave her a half an hour to talk on the phone. I went to our room totally discusted it was now 10:00 p.m. I went to our room shutting our door changing my clothes and, screaming into my pillow. Nara was fast asleep; our brothers were watching alittle t.v. Daniel tried easvesdropping on Babs’ conversation with Giovanni but, father put the kybash on all of that so he went to his room listening to his music.
After she finished her conversation she came bouncing upstairs bouncing into our room flopping on her bed all smiles & laughing I was laying on my bed looked at her crossley “What are you so happy about”? She couldn’t understand my sorely mood “What’s the matter with you? I just had a nice conversation with Giovanni. I’m sorry if I bothered you excuse me” she gathered her things and, went into the bathroom wondering why I was in such a foul mood.
I just rolled over on my right side my back to the door trying to go to sleep; my mind ever so busy. She finished her shower and, gingerly comes back in our room turning on her lamp I am so annoyed with her at this point “GRRRRRR….. DO YOU MIND? I’M TRYING TO SLEEP OVER HERE” I growled.
She gave a puzzled look at me “Hey what did I do? What the heck are you so grumpy about”? “ARGH!!! YOU; YOU MAN STEALER” father rushed in the room waving his hands in the air in frustration for the argueing to stop “Enough!! What is all the fussing going on in here about”? I looked at her with fire in my eyes; she exclaimed tears rolling down her face playing the victim “Father she said I’m a man stealer I have no idea what she is talking about. She’s been like this all night towards me. I swear I didn’t do anything to her for her to treat me this way”.
I clapped my hands “Bravo! What a performance; you know ya autta get an academy award; tears rolling down your face nice touch”. “Alright Enough Brie! What is this all about”? “She took Giovanni Valentine away from me! YOU MAN STEALER”!!! Father raised his voice “ENOUGH BRIE!!! Babs is this true? Did you”? “Father I swear I had no idea she liked him no of course not. I had no idea he was going to call me for a date. I’m sorry Brie I would never do anything to hurt you. You do know that don’t you”?
“Yeah of course I do”. “Alright girls it’s late lights out sweet dreams girls, night”. Father kissed each of us on the head then left our room “That Babs thinks she’s so smart! I’ll fix her but, good” I thought to myself as we fell asleep. A few days later it was last cheerleading practice for the year me & Babs were on the squad together “Alright girls pyramid formation let’s go” she charged I sat in the bleachers I wasn’t going to participate.
“C’mon Brie we need you for the top of the pyramid”!! “NO!I DECIDED TO QUIT” then Giovanni strolled in I rushed to him “Hi Gio” he patted me on the head “Yeah hey. Hey Babs looking good we’re still on for after the game Friday right”? “Sure can’t wait” he left the gym she barked “C’mon girls get into formation now” I just sat in the stands.
I just sat in the bleachers laughing inspite of myself watching my sister work herself into a frenzy finally she got fed up “ALRIGHT THAT’S IT!!! THAT’S A WRAP” everybody left the gym. I left and, went on my mary way I was pleased with myself I did my damage.
Babs was pissed she didn’t notice Giovanni walk up along side of her he put his hand on her shoulder she stopped abruptly “WHAT?! Oh sorry Gio I didn’t see you there what do you want”? He backed away “Sorry! I just wondered how practice went. What’s the matter”? “Look Giovanni maybe it isn’t a good idea we see each other after all. My sister Brie, she likes you a great deal. Practice sucked”.
